Use a Bluetooth sniffer app and wifi sniffer. This will tell you all the devices that could possibly interfere with the Zwift setup. Remove or switch off unwanted signals. Try and use ANT+ for turbo unless you're using virtual shifting.

Place ANT+ dongle underneath turbo by using extension lead

Check all firmware is upto date

As I use apple TV to run zwift and use zwift controllers I think I have to use zwift companion to act as a Bluetooth bridge due to the number of channels on apple TV which 1 is used by the remote . I have an idea the companion app turned off causing the drop out as my tablet was on the home screen when I realised the dropout had occurred

I have cabled connection for both my computer AND trainer but I had a dropout in ZRL week 2. My stream died too so it must have been an internet outage though. First time I'd ever had one that bad during a race. But at least I was able to finish it offline and alone.

Do you have some kind of aggressive battery-saving mode enabled? If so, it might decide that an app isn't doing anything if you haven't clicked recently. The solutions then would either be to switch the battery-saving off or to tap the app!

I think my game controller times out after a certain period of time if I don't use it, but that doesn't usually happen because I am at least changing virtual gears or cruise control power with it regularly.

The ride was just sub hour and have done longer rides with this set up and I was interacting with the group typing on the app so battery saving I very much doubt . The more I think about it the more user error 😚 comes to mind ,I think I was about to type a thanks for the ride message when the dropout occured ,did I turn the app off ? ,answer I don't know

I always wonder how people have enough reserve capacity to message while racing. But it looks like it's hazardous while group riding too

Glad I'm not the only one to have a snafu mid-event. A few weeks ago I somehow managed to quit Zwift entirely while racing - not quite sure how. I didn't have my phone nearby so couldn't use the companion app to trigger a power-up, so had to stretch to reach the mouse and in doing so, my hand briefly touched something on the keyboard and all of a sudden I was thrown back to the main menu screen - no message asking me are you sure you want to quit or prompts to save the ride - it just ended there and then.

The most annoying thing was that I was in the lead pack at the time, more than 2/3rds of the way through the race (though I know I wouldn't have won, as there were some VERY good sprinters also at the front) and it was a route I had not got the badge for yet - it was an event-only route the previous time I'd raced it but now it's open. Can't face doing it again though!

We had a music quiz while riding and people where giving the answer when I had only typed 3 letters ,I did say how do you type so fast and appears people have voice to text on theirs phones linked to the app

Yes I often dictate messages on discord while riding, but I tend to do that on a different device than the one I'm using for Companion App. I guess the quiz would have been via companion app though
