Im finding it tough racing younger riders. They have quicker recovery than me. Also better Wkg. I've still got a decent burst of power to pull me back onto surges, I've also become better at not leading so my efforts a saved for when it gets towards the end.

I've got a busy new year and spring, so riding will be low priority. Im enjoying the odd race where I can fit them in

I'm only doing this to get some miles in as I'm 73km away from fully upgrading the SL8 which I hope to do over the next 3 days.
I thought they may have fixed ZRS by now but it seems not

They literally haven't changed it for 12 months apart from dicking around with decay.
vELO2 is in the works though. Should be really good.

vELO seems to be much more accurate than ZRS. I wasn't too fussed by this race, it was mostly get some Kms in and see how my chest is now (it's great, fully fit I think).

Just 25km left until SL8 is fully upgraded .... tomorrow

I don't race much under ZRS but this is my score progression - really is farcical.
In October, when I first start riding again after 6 months off it's 270. Then it suddenly jumps about 90 points in December (can't recall doing a ZRS race), then today I come virtually last (the 3 guys behind me seemed to be trying to tank their score by letting the group go off the line then pushing 'good' watts for the rest of their ride - not a bad way to fool the algorithm)

Going up in increments between Oct and Dec due to power increases I can understand, but a massive jump for no obvious reason really does make a mockery of the scoring system.

I had a decent work out today anyway, flat (crit) race so I could just about hang on for enough of the race to get my legs firing.

Is anyone else actively racing under ZRS or do you tend to avoid it and stick to WTRL (old cats) or eVELO?

I do a few, but mostly ZRL since September. My ZRS hasn't moved a lot since they last messed with it. I seem to be "trading" in a range of about 505-525 since about Feb/March

That's actually OK, although I enjoy the <510 races the most. I did a crit club in under 520 yesterday which was quite good fun. 30 racers, I was 7th. Went early at the end and almost pulled it off, but got mugged by 6 w@@kers in the last 100m
