Im finding it tough racing younger riders. They have quicker recovery than me. Also better Wkg. I've still got a decent burst of power to pull me back onto surges, I've also become better at not leading so my efforts a saved for when it gets towards the end.

I've got a busy new year and spring, so riding will be low priority. Im enjoying the odd race where I can fit them in

I'm only doing this to get some miles in as I'm 73km away from fully upgrading the SL8 which I hope to do over the next 3 days.
I thought they may have fixed ZRS by now but it seems not

They literally haven't changed it for 12 months apart from dicking around with decay.
vELO2 is in the works though. Should be really good.

vELO seems to be much more accurate than ZRS. I wasn't too fussed by this race, it was mostly get some Kms in and see how my chest is now (it's great, fully fit I think).

Just 25km left until SL8 is fully upgraded .... tomorrow

I don't race much under ZRS but this is my score progression - really is farcical.
In October, when I first start riding again after 6 months off it's 270. Then it suddenly jumps about 90 points in December (can't recall doing a ZRS race), then today I come virtually last (the 3 guys behind me seemed to be trying to tank their score by letting the group go off the line then pushing 'good' watts for the rest of their ride - not a bad way to fool the algorithm)

Going up in increments between Oct and Dec due to power increases I can understand, but a massive jump for no obvious reason really does make a mockery of the scoring system.

I had a decent work out today anyway, flat (crit) race so I could just about hang on for enough of the race to get my legs firing.

Is anyone else actively racing under ZRS or do you tend to avoid it and stick to WTRL (old cats) or eVELO?

I do a few, but mostly ZRL since September. My ZRS hasn't moved a lot since they last messed with it. I seem to be "trading" in a range of about 505-525 since about Feb/March

That's actually OK, although I enjoy the <510 races the most. I did a crit club in under 520 yesterday which was quite good fun. 30 racers, I was 7th. Went early at the end and almost pulled it off, but got mugged by 6 w@@kers in the last 100m

That's the ZwiftPower extension for Google
Thanks, it rings a bell, I think I have read about it before.

On intervals. Power > Power curves > ensure both indoor and outdoor are ticked on the right column
Then Untick everything except All time on the left column

Then you'll probably need to add some time intervals to the default ones...
Click Best Efforts (top right)

and add the time intervals you want in your list. I use these...

It then takes all your data ever and gives you all-time bests.

Hopefully you shouldn't need to if you do the above.

Thanks for posting this - nice to see some more stats.

Here’s mine, after a tidy up of some PB’s - some rides incorrectly assigned as outdoor when they were indoor (when I had dual recorded my power meter pedals onto Garmin and Tacx Neo 2 in Zwift), and then annoyingly some outdoor rides had nice power numbers but alas where set by the previous owner of the Garmin1030 I purchased on eBay earlier in the year. Interestingly my PBs flip over from sprinty type efforts being set outdoors and the longer efforts outdoors.

PS. Hope everyone is keeping fit and well!

My ‘fitness’ on Intervals.icu is currently standing at 13. I don’t think it’s ever been that low. The bronchitis really knocked me about, and I’ve been in pain with intercostal strains from the coughing fits I’d been having. I’m not entirely sure that the rib I cracked in October has fully healed, and I’ve put on the best/worst part of a stone since the end of the HC season!

However, I went for a short jog with my better half this morning, which was a lovely way to start the buildup again.

Just been suckered into the Rouvey half price deal. You spin out going down steep hills so can’t train. At least Zwift has 100% uphill but must add a 50% buffer on steep downhill so you can actually pedal if you want.
Loads of apps have these mountain routes which are great but there’s no point free wheeling unless your enjoying it IRL.

Been a while since I last tried Rouvy, but doesn't it have something similar to Zwift's trainer difficulty?

At least you have the option of pick an ERG workout and then pick your route scenery, if on a smart trainer, to then get resistance on descents.

I can highly recommend Road To Hell video on Rouvy, I used it as a recce for my first attempt a few years ago, Rouvy includes a section closer to Denbigh town centre than the real life segment but my times were very similar over the climb segment.
