Thank God for all the people who turned out to help, and the two chaps who rescued 20 dogs.

That said, this is heartbreaking. Our dog is a rescue dog, and this feels very close to home.

Well to be honest with you looking at the news these days I would rather give my money to dog welfare than to support some of the scumbags that are walking around these days.

Sorry but this pales into total insignificance when compared with what IS are doing to humans in Iraq and Syria. It's sad, of course but I think folk ought to get things in perspective.

I wonder if those who are driving hunners of miles with dog food & blankets and donating money would do the same if the fire had been at an old folks home? I appreciate that this may come across as a bit heartless, but I do feel that some folk have weird priorities.

I think people should be able to give money to who they want, I give money to loads of charities both human and non human, there is always a more deserving cause no matter who you choose to give your money.
