Trek lifetime frame warrenty covered the kickstand mount on my wifes fx 7.2. So I would say it covers just about anything.

50/34 up front and 9 spd 12-23 on the back.
Think fancy going triple maybe 52/42/32(have this setup on mtb) and probably keep a 12-23 on rear (Like a straight block)
