He sells Appleton rum, and Wray & Nephew overproof white rum (over his right shoulder in the photo on link). Therefore it's a good pub. :smile:
No-one is forcing anyone to eat there though. I certainly wouldn't be paying anything like that for ANY meal!

To be honest I wouldn't be seen dead in some plastic fantastic factory identikit pub/restaurant like a Wetherspoons.
nothing identikit about many spoons mr drago - pics available.
excellent beer - mind you some folks don't like beer.

Hand and Flowers may technically be a pub, but in practice it is a Destination Restaurant.
Agree. You go there for the dining and the high culinary experience despite the setting. The steak was pulled out particularly for mention and not the cost of overall dining. Steaks are speciality items, hence steak houses and the best lot don't charge those prices. He did the same thing with Fish and Chips years ago and it still holds the record price for it. He dropped it after the publicity.
