One of those ‘Sovereign Citizen’ people, who believe they’re exempt from whatever they wish?

We used to love nicking the Sovereign Citizens and Free Men of the Land. Magistrates take great delight in demonstrating how the law does actually apply to them, and simply wishing it away doesn't work.

This seems reasonably true!
Particularly, the ‘laying down to drive’
We’ve all seen those who can barely be seen over the door 'body', or appear to be looking through, not over, the steering-wheel

Then…. when parking/manoeuvering/in traffic are holding themselves upright clinging onto the steering wheel
‘Not Being In Proper Control’ is a phrase that springs to mind?

They think they look like racing drivers, but l can’t recall seeing a rally car/touring car driver laying down during a stage/race??

Huh?

First, that is a picture showing a kid in a bed supposedly designed to look like a racing car, followed by a picture of what they actually end up driving. It doesn't show anybody lying down while driving.

And second, I don't think any of the people you describe think they look like racing drivers (and nor are they lying down), they are just short people, who struggle to get their head above the level of the steering wheel, while still keeping the feet in ocntact with the pedals.

I find its more of a generational thing myself, you only have to go to Peterborough (and probably many / any other cities) and watch a good proportion of young drivers sat very low,.almost stretched out, head almost entirely shielded by the door pillar...but your explanation may also be true.

I know what you mean about the stretched look and the low look. I saw a BMW just this week, I don`t know the series. The car had obviously been lowered, so much that it looked as if the wheels rubbed the arches and appeared at a jaunty angle. Would it be street legal I wonder. I just wonder how safe it would be to drive.

SWMBO & myself went over to my parents yesterday
She dropped me off, so l could walk last couple of miles with the dog

I’ve known of this Mondeo & Sierra for long time (knowing the owner & neighbours)

The foliage has died back a bit, revealing the Sierra

Not the best of shots, sorry, but the foliage has been really trimmed down
I can’t help but wonder if Stewart & Anne have both passed away, & the son is starting to tidy up/empty the house?
