Cycle 2000 miles this year....more if possible,
Do my first imperial 100,
Do my second imperial 100,
Continue my mechanical education and stop being frightened by mechs, chains etc
Try not to feel intimidated by staff in my LBS,
Stay safe and continue to be a responsible and courteous cyclist,
Continue to enjoy and benefit from such a wonderful sport/hobby/pastime.

umm. On reflection, maybe I'm being a bit optimistic looking to get to Cat 3 in my first year. Still, I'll leave it as a target

this year's target is to stay on my mountain bike and not break any more ribs... last year I came off my mtb twice - first time breaking/cracking 3 ribs and 2nd time bruising the other side of the rib cage... I don't recommend it.
Otherwise I would like to see my average speed increase - though how is anyone's guess.
Get back on tour - current thoughts are Iceland in the summer: it could be a little too much too soon, but worth a try.
