LOL, yes well, I said it was pointless in isolation. Some great advice though, I especially like the moving to Holland idea. Munster's a great cycling city too. Staying off the road will keep you safe but then again you'd miss all the fun. Thanks for the answers.

I second that! Something I drummed into each of my sons when they started driving too.

I'd up the ante on that and say every motor vehicle can kill you. I find myself, when cycling, thinking this: "If I make a mistake, I die. If a driver makes a mistake, I die."

Paranoia yes, but it keeps me alive.

I think a good proportion of the non cycling population will answer that question with "Get a bigger vehicle".
