Small world. I was there 1982-89. What about you?

I remember hiding in the bushes at Kings Heath park to avoid laps of the cross country. And of getting the minah bird to swear.
I finished there in '79 myself. It was probably somewhere around '76 to '78 when that sporting lowpoint of mine happened. We (probably like every generation before and since) thought we were the first to think of that dodge. A line of us emerged through the hedge, one after another, each equally stunned to come face to face with a TV camera. It must have looked like that scene in the Great Escape where they all suddenly realise their tunnel has come up 40 feet short.

I once hitched a lift as an 18 year year old and it was the Queens bodyguard that picked me and my friend up. It was as well, he had the gun strapped to his arm pit and did that man love to brag about it.Licensed to kill, 007 you know.
He replaced the previous bodyguard who was let go after the Queen had an intruder in her bedroom. Do people remember that? it was in the late 1980s.

I may have mentioned this one before....

I was on TV in the dancing competition on The Hit Man and Her

Unbelievably, I didn't win

I knew I recognised you from somewhere!

(That's not my contribution to this thread though!)

You must have succeeded or you wouldn't be around to post about it now!

PS If that had been me, I wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to say that my life had been endangered by the unwanted advances of a horny rhino!

I remember you mentioning it before, but I'd forgotten all about it.

If others are the same as me you could have gotten away with it just by keeping quiet.

I got caught skinny dipping, with a young lady from highest echelon of middle eastern society, by 2 officers of the Royal Protection Group who told me not to pi$$ in the pool and that I shouldn't go paddling without my wellies on. Sound advice.
