I've occasionally seen trikes used in large electronics production facilities by maintenance staff or for delivering components to the production lines.
Kentex who built my trike build many specialist bikes/trikes/quads for factory use,

I could only imagine, what with how heavy those cycles are, the shipping must be astronomical. By ship, maybe less so, if you needed a lot of other things and could lease a container. They make industrial cycles, mainly for factories, as well as a folding model. I don't know if they still make the folder, but it is a far cry from a Brompton or Montague.
My trike arrived in 2 box's 1 the rear axle assembly and it's wheels and in the other the front bike part, the box would be massive if it held an assembled one.

How many would fit in a container.
19'x7'8"x7'8", I am going to guess 12, or maybe 18, depending on shipping arrangements and packing. I think the Executive model breaks down a bit, and may be a smaller crate. I may have a line on a small container in Chicago for about $1600 US, it could go to NYC on Norfolk Southern, get filled up there, and be on tidewater soon thereafter. I believe the Worksman plant is in a loft downtown NYC, probably could get loaded in a few days and a few more days for loading and waiting for the ship to get a full load for Great Britain and sail. I can think of easier ways to get a tricycle. This does not take into account inspection of the shipment in both the States and G.B., as well as clearing customs and excise.Permits as well.
