FWIW, here are the rods that took Vickster down

They'd be pretty hard to avoid, except by dismounting I think.

To note, they weren't on the pavement when I rode across them, but strewn across the left lane!

I have to say it doesn't hurt nearly as much as the shin injury (the nice scar below, excuse hairy leg!) but it is stiffening up nicely! Hoping ribs and beer this evening will help

I have also learnt to carry a pair of emergency undies when cycling, as I had to buy some before going to A&E! Next are expensive
