I was cycling all day Sunday and to be honest, cycling in the heat isn't so bad as long as I kept glugging down water and kept applying layers of white emulsion paint (aka factor 50). Riding generates its own cooling breeze, and there is often shade.

It's doing absolutely anything else apart from cycling that I find utterly miserable in this heat.

I have blown glass in 30 degrees. (Not this year) That is hot!

I am a lizard person and have almost no capacity to regulate my own body temperature. This week is hell.

31 deg and full on sun when I left the office today. Bit like cycling in Thailand, but not as humid, nowhere near as exotic, and a disappointing lack of roadside stalls selling refreshments

Just back from a week in Crete - covered in heat rash where my skin's been exposed to sun and itching like f***. Antihistamines and creams to keep the inflammation down.Yes it's uncomfortable to start with but when I get used to it I like the hot weather
