I got tailgated by a postman once. Was on the back of a 35 mile ride and absolutely knackered (excuses, excuses) and he was right on my tail for the last mile or so.
Like a stupid old fool, I kept pedalling faster, determined to prove a point. Every time I looked round, he was right behind me grinning like a Cheshire Cat
Probably our last postie! He retired last week: regularly cycles 80+ miles during his time off, and his daughter is a professional cyclist 💪
Nice fella, we wished him well for his retirement: plenty more miles in him😎
