Don't see why not, if the diameter is right and that's what you want to do.
Can you move the existing hand grips inwards to give space for the bar ends?

If you do want some, I'd recommend these. The clamp is in the middle, so your body position is very similar to when you are using the bars.

The Ritchey ones you show have the clamp at the bottom so your weight moves forward when you move to them. That might, of course, be the effect you are looking for but it's something to bear in mind if not.

Bit pricey... seen some nice Spesh ends for about £12.
Remember to give your hands enough room on the grips when you fit the ends.
On mine it was easy enough to move the brake levers rapid fires inwards to allow room.
I cut the end of the grips off carefully then refitted after putting the bar ends on so making it a neat job.
If what you have is twist shift tho' then that would be something I couldnt comment on as to suitability.

Ahh, maybe I should've mentioned that. Yep, I have Gripshifters. I'll have a proper look at the bike tomorrow and see if it's possible!
