How many firms make Dacias then? That's fine, I can take my business elsewhere.

I think, regardless of a pre-emptive apology any form of arseyness is likely to distance your audience somewhat, especially when that audience really doesn't need the arse giver or their trade. That's why you are probably not cut out for sales.
Actually, not cut out for life. Someone saying "sorry for being an arse" would go a long way with me to make up for him being an arse. Someone actually being an arse, without using the word "arse" would be more likely to drive me away.
To another dealer .....How many firms make Dacias then?
But to be fair, skodas were a pile of crap until about 10 years ago...apologies to all those who invested before they became trendy.Similar accusations were leveled at Skoda when I bought my first .....
Oh, I thought. You were emailing dacia direct, then yes please ignore my last...dealers can be lazy non salespeople, mopping up on all of the marketing and investment that manufacturers make and literally waiting for buyers to walk in the door. Any effort in their part to find or encourage sales is generally given up in preference for a visit to the coffee machine and a bit more facebookingTo another dealer .....
Agreed. Classic brand value building. I think Renault will look to do similar with Dacia. In developing markets Dacia are everywhere and Renault must hope that some will move up to mainstream as well. However I don't see Dacia brand itself moving up in quite the same way as Skoda. But to be fair, skodas were a pile of crap until about 10 years ago...apologies to all those who invested before they became trendy.
Skodas market shift has been one of the best that I have seen in my lifetime and has been undertaken by a huge amount of excellent marketing, engineering and design.
The appetite to invest in this shift, over decades... speaks volumes about the firm to me.
