Since replacing my cleat pedals with toe straps I've been searching for a suitable cycling shoe. My old Duegi pair although still serviceable have seen better days. I eventually found William Lennon & Co and ordered these. Delivery can take several weeks and mine arrived today. These shoes are extremely well made, comfortable, the fit is spot on and they feel like they're going to last for ages. Half sizes are available. I would easily recommend them to anyone looking for a retro type cycling shoe. I have no connection with this company, simply a happy customer.

On road bikes I've only ever used clips and straps, with no cleats - and it's so instinctively easy to get my feet in and out I've never had any problem.

I was fortunate last year to find an new-old-stock pair of Puma leather shoes for £50, which fit me very well, and I'm seriously tempted by a pair of those Arturo shoes too - other modern ones I've seen have been £100-150 and up.
