I have for many years used Topeak Road morph pumps on my bikes.

They are light, portable and enable me to get tyres pumped up to in excess of 100 psi at the roadside easily.

Given the length of time I have been using these, is it still the best out there?

What are your recommendations (and why)?

PS I do not wanta CO2 inflater

The Lezyne ones look great and always score really well in reviews

The Road Morph's are still great - I've used an MTB one from a mate.

I'm quite happy with my Blackburn Airstik Multi fit (got two) and the Carbon model. The multi fit attaches to any valve without fiddling. Both get the pressures upto and above 100 PSI, but do take quite a few pumps as it's a small pocket pump.

I was out on a club run last year and one of the guys was faffing with his tube replacement. Grabbed the wheel off him and pumped it up with my airstick in the time it took him to put his bits and bobs back in his saddle bag.

Love my road morph. Had a puncture a month or so ago. One of the guys helped me find the thorn and said something about getting the pressure up enough to see me home. I very much enjoyed the look on his face when I easily pumped the tyre back up to its usual 110 PSI. :becool:

I currently have a topeak race rocker hp on one bike and a lezyne pressure drive mini on my other bike.
I would say in operation the lezyne is the slight winner and it is also the winner in looks, but both as very good pumps.

No idea on what pump, I could not even tell you what ones we own. I am interested in your anti CO2 though, as I am waiting to discover the downside to them, please tell me what I have missed in my ignorance as I do not want to find out in the dark and rain.

a manual pump, with the capability to use a 12gram threadless CO2 capsule [20 UMAREX for £10.99]
or a larger 16gr threaded capsule [20 for £17.95]

my idea is to use the manual, then 'top-up' with the CO2
i'll do a report if you're interested
