Mine happened last December when I bought my bike. I hadn't been on one for many years and did plenty of research, and always thought that I had been fairly fit through football and golf and cricket etc. However I am past 55 years old now, and had a heart attack April 2013 so the reason for the bike was to get some aerobic fitness again. My research led me to my present bike and I was made up when I collected it. I squeezed into some tights and jersey, filled my bottles, fitted my Garmin, read the book on how to change 105 gears and off I went. I got to the end of my estate and decided I would blast up the incline facing me especially as some people I knew were watching me. Truth hurts doesn't it as a podgy middle aged spaz almost had to get off and push within 30-yards and was almost sick. I now realise that this stretch of road isn't even a false flat, but superfit me came down to earth with a big bump. Managed 8-miles and slept for a month
