Hi wise ones, Just wanted to pick your brains about the project cyclocross. I ended up buying a Boardman team CX frame 2011/12. It comes with head tube, seat post, forks and bottom bracket. I have done some research on google and as per original specs bike came equipped with SRAM Apex 1 group set with mechanical disc brakes. One option is to go for the same i.e. SRAM Apex 1x11 set up and then source all the required bits and bobs. As an alternative option I am thinking about going with the Aliexpress route and instead take a chance on Chinese groupset manufacturers such as Sensah simply just to keep the build costs down. However not sure whether it’s a safe bet despite very good reviews? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated as always. Thanks

Why not source 2nd hand parts off ebay and vinted amongst others, that way it keeps the cost down and you can build it with whatever spec you want within reason. I'd be looking at hydraulic shifters tbh. Enjoy the build process and dont forget to post updates.
