I bought my Supersix 105 team replica for £1,700 about 3 months ago (£1000 through the cycle to work scheme and £700 of my own cash). I had no choice but to go through Evans. Good thing is though I'll get the £1000 tax free, so it'll only cost me around £1350 in total!

I'm guessing I've done nearly 1000 miles on it so far and I can honestly say it's a fantastic bike, even with the standard Mavic Aksiom/Aksion wheel and tyre set. The 105 grouppo has performed impeccably, with fast, precise changes, and to be honest, unless you're obsessed with saving weight, I can't see any reason why you would want to upgrade to Ultegra or beyond. One thing I am planning to shell out on is a decent carbon clincher wheelset for the summer. :becool:

Go on...BUY IT!! You won't regret it!

I'm almost convinced....
Just need to arrange a test ride, I suppose. Funding is another hurdle!

I don't have anything you need! I have a Verenti Millook that's my 'long ride / hilly' bike but I am using it less and less, lately. The Cube is the main hot dog bike but it'll be replaced by the Dale, if acquired... I started putting together something from spare parts the other day and might turn it into a racing / TT machine... that's something of an experimentation, however. The Dawes is my Winter commuter and the MTB is on Cycle to work scheme. I have 2 other random frames stuffed under the stairs and at the last count something like 14 road wheels in various states

I thought about going down to Evans at lunchtime and asking to take one out on a test ride. They had a 56 in there when I looked the other day. I will be trying a 56 and a 54, if I do take one. Decided against it (for Today) on account of the bad weather. I think it might be better going at a weekend and trying it in proper clothing, not work trousers tucked into socks and work shoes!

I can't do Saturday because I'm entered in the club hill climb comp and subsequent downhill (no pedalling allowed) comp! Sunday is a possibility but probably have to see if I can make it in the afternoon. I have next Friday off work too, so that's also a possibility.
