No heating on yet, and won't be for a month or so.
MrsP on the other hand is under her over blanket on the settee, and has had her side of the electric blanket on for the last week.

My many years at work where individuals controlled the radiator thermostats in the rooms they taught in is that *generally* the women are only happy when their rooms are at about Gas Mark 3.
I have an ex neighbour who's house was always about a million degrees (slight exaggeration).
I hated it!
What am I missing?
I try not to have heating from about April through to October or November.
I generally don't need it, but the idea is also so that by the time I do need it, I'll be in credit and wont have to worry about it.

These people who have the heating on all year round? More brass than sense if you ask me!
Do people live north of Watford? I thought it was just polar bears up there.
Innuit are native to this part of Poshshire.
Some of us are REAL northerners, not just you wannabe English 'northerners' 🤣
Mines a stone semi with a dirty cavity. Would need the cavity filling with beads I expect??
OOOOHHHH ERRRR MISSUSS!! 🤣

Scummed this morning, definitely chilly despite jumper
Is controlled by a time switch and digital thermometer so shouldn't on too long.

18.2C in, 11.7C out this morning, so all's good, though I have put a jumper on.

The battery had gone flat on the remote indoor/outdoor thermometer over the summer, and it made me realise how much I've come to depend on it.

8 celsiuses here. Sat eating brekky with the French doors open.

Last night one of my neighbours had their wood burner going. I mean, WTAF? I was walking the dog in short short-sleeves.

Mrs. 666 has got it on the kitchen as we have a radiator which for some reason comes on when the hot water comes on (but not the main central heating). I've just taken to wearing a light fleece in the evening in the lounge which is a bit colder than other rooms.

Having spent the formative years of my childhood in the northern islee im hardened to the cold and dreich.

Nevertheless, I worked with one bobby who was a Cumbria lad and had trained as a dry stone waller out in all weathers and in the middle of a blizzard at 3am in mid January he could be relied upon to arrived at a job incshirtsleeves.

Another one in T-short & shorts this morning; my lounge is 22 degrees.
Will hope to leave the CH off for a couple more months, unless we have a cold snap.

But not yet; I didn't even need a duvet last night.

High or low temperatures don't really bother me. Windy nights, outside, the windows stay open all year round. So the heating doesn't go on.

Im more sensitive to high temps at night but otherwise, for us it's always been bedroom windows open at night 90% of the year, all except the coldest of weather.

Starting to feel the drop in temps in the evening outside, but no, no heating yet. Inevitably having two young children in the house now will mean the heating on more that it used to be for some time...much to my (light hearted) disgust

Have them playing Twister on a nightly basis. It'll warm them up, a bit.
