Cheapish road bike for triathlons

Hi there

Completed my first Sprint Triathlon yesterday....on my Cube MTB. It was great fun and I'm up for doing some more so think I should invest in a road bike.

Sorry for the typical "any recommendations" question. But, any recommendations for something around £500 that would suit as a road bike?

Thanks for all the replies so far. Lots to look into and think about.

The deadline for the cycle to work scheme just came around so I plumped for an £800 voucher with the Boardman Road Comp in mind:

But, as I don't have to choose the bike just yet I wondered what closer to £800 could get rather than my initial £500? I'd rather pay a bit more now and not worry about upgrading so soon afterwards.
