Its taken 8 months, but finally the scheme is active at work....
However, I'm now in a quandary as to which of the following 2 bikes to go for, and wondered if anyone has experience/advice on them please?

1) Orbea Aqua '09
2) Genesis Aether/20

( or failing these possibly a Trek 1.5)

Commuting and rides out is the use.

Thanks in advance ;)

I like the Aether mainly because Genesis make a big thing about designing the frames to be used on British roads (i.e. cracked and potholed) in all weathers, so that is also a big plus in my book.

The Orbea looks better though, but more sporty.

Hi I looked at the Aqua and to be honest I was not overally impressed with the aesthetics at all. I also did not like the way the cable guides sort of stuck out on the side of the frame silly thing I know but I suppose you either like a bike or you dont.

I know it may not be a consideration but its a Little heavier as well by ALU standards.

I would go for the Genesis personally.

Thanks for the advice guys, even though I'd barely heard of Genesis, the more I research ( and hear from people such as yourselves) the more I'm swayed towards the Aether.
Wish me luck, I'm used to a triple, hope I can still get up the hills!
