Good, just in time for my arrival to England on Monday.

Glad it's black and not brown! ;)

OK, I give in!

What's a buff?

A uniquely versatile garment... it's like a tube of material you can wear like a scarf, beanie, tie your hair back if you're a girl or a hippy, bandana etc. I got my first one free with cycling + about 2 yrs ago, now I think I have 7 of them

Novembers Cycling Plus comes with a free buff... black with chain links and cogs.

Cheers for the heads up!

Can anyone tell me, what is the preferred manner of buff-wearing for the modern cyclist ?

I have realised that I already have one in some modern camo-colour for forays in search of wildlife - I had not realised that it might have a cycling application too.

Yarr ! - like, under the helmet ?

I have a fleece motorcycling balaclava for the coldest days but the buff is a lighter material...

For me, usually like a scarf, round the neck. But went for a ride today, and my head got cold (no helmet, didn't bring a hat) so put it on pirate stylee, and it did the trick. When it's really cold, I have it round the neck (a special fleecy one) and pull it up over the lower half of my face.
