Most folk I think were down on their TT times but somehow despite being 5w weaker on a freezing night I was a second faster than my road bike time. I might not be the fastest but at least I’m consistent, it wasn't really the training session I hoped for

I forgot my HR strap and used the watch on broadcast mode, whilst on review it looks like it came good after 1:24 (probably when I warmed up) I couldn’t pace on it and it was too much tempo.

Oh and I tried electrolytes in my bottle rather than carbs with caffeine so hopefully I sleep better tonight.

Completed VO2 Max today, 6 x 4 mins. Couple of easier days now and back into it on Tuesday.

First Indoor workout for a while and it took me ages to warm up and for the first 30mins it was a trudge. before it became an easy spin for the last 30mins so I rated it as moderate which brought down my TrainerRoad AI predicted FTP quite a bit to +0.4%

Yes, strange how much impact the RPE score has on Forecast FTP in TR. Not sure if I like the new TR version or not.

Recovery week this week, as had pushed TSB form below -30. Thus bringing it back in balance ready for audax event on Saturday. The audax event will push it back below -30! Then recover it back to between -5 and +10 then back on it again for a final push to my A event in July.

I knocked out the first of Zwift's "Quickfire 30" workouts this morning before breakfast. I thought I'd start with the easiest of the ten, Aurora, which was pretty basic Z2/3 stuff, nothing too taxing.

Actually, misread, it is -107 🤣

I trusted the weather radar and hung about at work to get things finished rather than rushing back for the local chaingang. It had been bright and warm during the day at work and it was still reasonable at the station. A minute or two after going north though it greyed over and just after the station before mine (about 35mins up the line) the heavens opened and apparently it was wet most of the day. That gave me an excuse to do my scheduled VO2max workout and at some point, that had adapted to Boltinghouse. Most of the intervals are actually Anaerobic. I was quite pleased with how it went.
