Most of the I tend to nod and say hello, sometimes the head is down as I'm going for it and barely notice cyclists coming the other way or don't want to lose my concentration
Hills, were many many cyclists make there way to especially at weekends. What i have learnt is not to take it personally if they do not wave back etc, there are so many, i have now and am now just like them IT IS nothing personal it is just very time consuming and after a while my waving hand are my nodding head starts to hurt..So I Now understand why
and we all just enjoy our time riding our bikes

To combine things, I suggest that we only greet cyclists wearing helmets.

Okay okay sorry guys i had no idea this was a frequently discussed topic.

I would say that over 90% of people nod, wave or say hi when slogging their guts out in the Pennines, even roadies to mtb'ers and vice versa.
