Does CycleChat have too many non-cycling related threads?

I'm actually looking to add more cycling sections as part of the software move - we have more members now than a couple of years ago, so there's scope for expanding into more specialist areas.
Please don't overdo it though Shaun. I've been dipping into Bike Forums and have come to the conclusion that there are too many different sections there. (Take a look at it though because it might give you a few ideas for changes here.)

@Crackle - I think you have a reasonable point about General Cycling, so will review that too. If you have any specific suggestions as to what possible categories it could be broken down into, then please feel free to PM me or post here.

Cheers,
Shaun

I'll have a think Shaun and put forward some ideas.

I agree with FM, the new forum software does look excellent. It puts us head and shoulders above any other cycling forum.

Do we need to lower the handlebars a bit?

I agree wholeheartedly, we should get rid of anything non-cycling related, and stick instead to incredibly serious and detailed conversations about cycling and bikes! Humour must not be permitted ... no indeed! And the forums should be policed by these guys:

(I'll get me coat ...)

Pshaw! I can handle then easily.

Looks like the ideal commuter bike ...

The machine gunner is wearing a cloth bowler hat, where as the cycle Nazi's have metal helmets, so even back then there was disagreement over the correct headwear for cyclists. (maybe this post should be in the helmet debates section)

There are a lot of sub-groups there! I agree, too many.
