I like a brass band myself but I was choking on my pie at the time. No offence to your grandad intended . Mine worked in the boiler room of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board building.

In fact, I used to play the trombone. I say play: I could puff my way through Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star but mostly concentrated on that pratfall sound they make. The neighbours complained.
