Eclipse

Getting darker by the minute here. Watching the shape of the sun change in a reflection on the back of a desk, shame I haven't got a camera with me.

Oops. I meant the sun was shining, then the clouds appeared. Here is what I can see at the moment

Managed to see a bit here in EK despite the patchy cloud. Went pretty dark but getting brighter again now

Been really lucky, completely clear skies here (for once) and I had my Sky At Night eclipse glasses. It was quite something to see. It didn't get as dark as I thought it would, more of a strange light, but definitely noticed the temperature dropping.

It popped out just at the right time here, down by the canal at Apperley Bridge, just like in this York pic on the Sky web site.

I found myself expecting it to rain because it was like heavy cumuli above. Still, it was a pretty grey morning anyway.

A plus point was hearing that nice Brian Cox talking about Biffins bridge.

Very cloudy here managed to get just over 100 shots but not many showed very much here is the best I could get.

Dissapointed after everyone bigged it up in the media.
Was expecting it to go as dark as it did the last time, in 1999, but it was nowhere near as big an eclipse.
