Where's the calls from petrol/diesel engined drivers for others to fund their habit?

The roads are funded by everyone, non-drivers included.

Saw one of these in the flesh during our recent trip to the big apple . It’s fell from the ugly tree and hit every branch hasn’t it ! I have no idea why you would want to drive or own one . I mean they have massive big 4x4 Lincoln’s and Dodge SUVs everywhere you look which if given the choice I’d rather have !
However saw plenty Tesla taxis in the city ! Didn’t see where they are charged ? Assume the parking lots .

I agree, it is a bit of an ugly duckling. I like the concept, but its not overly practical.

There are quite a few Tesla supercharger points in and around Manhattan. Plus there will be other rapid charges available and home charging, can't believe many taxi drivers will live near the centre

I use the roads.
But it's only EV owners saying that their "fuel source" and "filling points" be paid for/supplied by government funding.

Plenty of petrol car owners don't want to be paying any form of road/ fuel tax. So I don't think its just EV owners.

I know plenty that don't want to pay VED.
But I've yet to hear any petrol powered car owners say that the government must/should provide petrol pumps, let alone in locations that suit their needs.
Refilling/refuelling has always been a private companies provision, not state.

Why should I fund public transport I don’t use? Or a health service that I rarely use? Or schools that I don’t use? Can I opt out?
Because one day you might need to use public transport, because the kids that go to school, some of them will become Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, Pharmacists, Cleaners, Porters, Ambulance Crew etc, etc that one day you will need

As I said, it’s called being a part of society. It’s not just me, me, me
