Sounds like you need to cut yourself some slack hackbike.
You obviously loved Wiggins very much and for 10 years you gave her a wonderful life. Lots of love and care and a rich and full life. No cat could possibly ask for more.

Do you think Wiggins would want you to feel the way you do now ? she would want you to be at peace and move on . Try and remember all the good times you had together in those 10 years , its what Wiggins would have remembered.

You should have another cat Hackbike in memory of Wiggins. Perhaps an older rescue cat. Give that little cat every bit of effection that you would be giving Wiggins .There are so many cats out there without a loving home and warmth and affection. Some that have been abandoned ,some whose owners have suddenly passed away. Do it in memory of Wiggins

A very kind person once said to me the following . Whenever I feel sad about losing one of my cats I read this and it helps me see things in perspective again.

One cat saved is as valuable to that one cat as saving the whole world, you have saved the whole world for it as far as it is concerned.
One victim at a time and one day at a time.

"Wiggins" Died September 28 1999 (1730). "adopted" me in 1989.Feel I let her down even to this day.A few days before I took her round the vets as she wasn't eating (It was a sunday September 26 1999).On the Monday night I took a picture of her but didn't notice at the time her body wasn't at a right posture. On the Tuesday morning she was nowhere to be found.I went into my kitchen and the light turned on automatically (as setup by me) I heard a faint meow from the garden.I had a strange feeling about this one and went out in the garden.I found her lying down half paralysed.Brought her in and laid her on the bed then put her on a chair.Went to work.(How stupid was that)....Was driving a train through Raines Park and burst into tears (another driver said he would report me he said if I didn't pull myself together)(fair enough) I knew it was over.(It's very rare I do that). She was put down on Tuesday September 28 1999.I have never forgiven myself for it so I don't feel inclined to get another cat.

I totally agree with peanuts hackbike, it such a sad time when you lose your pets. I have nursed a few sick animals in my time and some times there is nothing you can do apart from leaving them alone to be quiet and in there favorite/comfy place. So don`t be hard on yourself, you looked after Wiggins for 10 years and gave her a good life. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive yourself an adopt another kitty because I am sure it will help!

Thanks for that.I still fell bad but perhaps one day I will have another pet.I really didn't understand what she was going through at the time.

Thanks also peanut, got to cycle commute to work now.Ooops late off again.
Will reply later.

Freya is FAST :blush::tongue:

Lovley video, really shows how happy and healthy they are. They really landed on their feet with you

Yeah her fitness is astonding. WHen we got her she was a wee bag of bones (year old) now she's 5 but still moves like a pup!

See I feel it was me that was lucky they came into my life, they improve my chi and make life complete

Hackbike666. The day I took my Dobermann to be PTS (He had bone cancer in his shoulder) was the most heart breaking thing in my life (even worse than the day I gort a phone call to say my Mother had passed). Not one day goes by that I don't think about him and how much I miss him, and I always think what if he could have got better. But he was 15 and better he didn't suffer. Pets become such a part of your life that when they go a BIG part of you goes too. I suppose I was lucky in the fact I had the 2 girls still to look after, then we meet the Rottie and took him as he needed a home.

As you can see, Boston was the king of the house

I may get a dog one day but im out too much working which isn't fair on them.I won't get a cat either as I think the present enviroment is not right or safe for one.

This is Harry and Sparky, Harrys the ball of fluff and Sparky is the short haired chap. Both are rescues, Sparky is a very lovely, devoted guinea pig, who is loud, proud and in your face. He's a right charactor despite this he was unwanted because he was a bloke, their loss is my gain xx( Harry was neglected and was in a bad way went he went into the rescue, his owner made it clear that they wanted shot of him, he was underwieght, his fur was a mass of tats, they had been dragging a comb through it to clear the tats ;) at the finish it had to be cut off and he was a nervous wreck, he's now developed into a gentle loving piggy who loves classical music .

They live indoors but have an outdoor run for the summer months when the weather is decent.

Sparky is a right nosy sod who loves to investigate the contents of bags, sometimes he gets the wrong bag

This is Thomas he was my first pig and came from a pet shop, he's a right little thug!

gorgeous cats, real aristocrats, unlike my two who are real hooligans. They go out all night causing havoc and mayhem down the lane then spend all day dossing around the house.
They have learnt to terrorize Mrs Peanut's dobie by sleeping in her duvet or blocking access to the stairs. Poor dog is a nervous wreck:biggrin:

Nice picture by the way noodley;)

Those are beautiful cats. Apart from the obvious Siamese, what breeds are the other two?

The smaller cat is a Blue shaded oriental (we thought he was a blue spotted tabby oriental when he was really little but he is registered as a shaded) and the other one is a Lilac oriental.
