Can't argue with that!

I've found a pic of the abominable Lazyfish. What were they thinking??

Computers will never be design classics because you can never get the damn things to show a picture!!!!

Describe what you're doing, and we'll tell you where you're going wrong. There are more constructive ways to help, but this will be more enjoyable...

I'm sure we still have them, albeit disfigured by FGW's pink-and-purple livery, on the Paddington-Swansea line? Shame about the unforgiveable new interiors, though  And you can't get to your bike without getting off the train and legging it up the platform in your silly cleats.

Oh yes, with new engines they are still going strong. Even with the new interior with its over-high seats that obstruct the view (for safety...) they are much more comfortable than the evil Voyager, making far better use of their internal space, luggage racks you can actually put things in. The bike space is a bit annoying , I agree. However, I usually use a Brompton and don't wear the afforementioned silly cleats, so isn't a problem for me.

Gresley's A4 locomotives, since we're on the subject of streamlined trains:

Ok, I suppose it only "endured" until the late 1960s, but has anyone ever seen anything which combines form and function so perfectly?

How insufferably smug .

I hate the airline interiors so much that I sometimes just hang out in the vestibule for three hours. Or perhaps the bar. Don't start me on the automatic sliding doors and the air-conditioning.

Are the Voyagers these ones? I agree that they're grim if so. The lighting is marginally less horrible than the FGWs, though.

Always a jolly civilized way to spend a long train journey. As long as there's no reason you can't just pour yourself into a taxi at journey's end, it's great.

The Campagnolo corkscrew faithfully reflects the genius of its inventor, Tullio Campagnolo.
A really awkward bottle and a corkscrew that wasn’t up to the job were the cause of this new stroke of genius that has not been bettered since 1966. The patented system of the telescopic self-aligning cover always places the screw in the central part of the cork. The large screw in hardened steel with a wide and sharp profile provides maximum grip on the cork and the two large levers enable the corks to be pulled out of bottles of the finest vintages without disturbing the sediments that are typical of such wines.
These technical features and the use of the finest raw materials have made this corkscrew a must, a symbol of genius that is recognized throughout the world.

Most likely reasons: 1) you've spent the taxi fare at the bar and 2) you're on a bicycle. Actually I spent the last one in the bar, and it was distinctly uncivilized. I'd timed it to co-incide with the return of a bunch of Spurs fans to Newport after a 9-1 victory...

I like to live up to expectations!

Top tip- if you want more space then the flip down seats in the wheelchair space at the end of Coach C (usually the B end) are often free.

Are the Voyagers these ones? I agree that they're grim if so. The lighting is marginally less horrible than the FGWs, though.

Yes, a horrid train, designed by airline interior designers who must have forgotten that on a train your luggage comes with you not in the hold... they waste space terribly, and all the loos are disabled access, taking up far more space than necessary, as only one is needed next to the wheelchair space. To free up some space the buffets were removed, but as no windows were installed in that area, it couldn't be used for extra seating, so is now the bike space and a place to leave large items of luggage if you don't mind leaving them out of sight...
