Enough of my friends are on it that I'll miss stuff if I'm not, is the bottom line. I go in, click refresh, check if I've been invited to anything, see who's done what lately, make unfunny comments about it and then leave again. All the applications and games bollocks I can't see a purpose for

For firefox users I recommend Adblock Plus http://adblockplus.org/en/ to lose the ads, and Facebook Purity http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/44459 to get rid of most of the quiz annoyingness.

For everyone else I recommend installing firefox ;-)

I'll give those a try. I hate it being cluttered up with quizzes, finding eggs, sprinkling people with fairy dust etcxx(.

I joined because my walking group uses it more and more and we find it useful for organising events and lift shares. I only check it briefly and aren't one of those people who sit on it all night, but then I'm on here quite a lot instead:blush:.

I have to use it for work and twitter, linked in the lot... have to keep up to date with web trends and usability. got bored of FB a year or so ago now all my mates (30 something cyber phobes) are getting pages set up and run by their wives that are all addicts.

I guess its cheaper than texting!

That made me . How do they think of these things? I had a 'Wolverhampton' gift sent the other week. WTF! I live in the hole, I don't need a photo of Prince bloody Albert on his horse! :hyper:

Say it like it is.... !!!

TBH not interested in it. Bumped into my wife's friend in the Supermarket last week - you know now't unusual, we live in the same village.... next thing, she's contacted my missus on her facebook page to say she bumped into me....WTF..big deal.....

My wife has her nieces set as "friends" - one 16 one 20's - there is this mumblings boards or something where you can see what your friends write in it - certainly very odd seeing some of the crap the 16 year old comes out with - use of the english language might help.....
