yes once. I can't remember if it was with SPDs or toe clips, but yes I remember going down hard on my thigh and shoulder, and it hurt.

Had my first a couple of weeks ago - 6am trying to start up a 1:7 hill, luckily only a field full of cows watching. Cracked a rib as I hit the deck , then had to cycle 10m home. Only just got back on the bike this week. Serves me right stopping for a breather half way up.
