I'm buying a tubeless ready wheelset so does it mean I don't have to put tubeless tape on the rim at all?

It means it has no tubeless tape or valve installed but will accept tubeless gear.
The valve hole is shaped for tubeless valve and walls/tyre bead is deeper than clinchers

So, I bought the wheels, marked as "tubeless ready" and turns out I don't need to put any tubeless tape.

That to me looks like Muc-Off tubeless tape. If it is I have found it to be the simplest to fit.

So when I asked the guy that sold me the wheels, he said that they came like that when he bought the bike (Giant trinity) and the bike was set up tubeless already when he got it.

Anyhow, if it's taped already it's just one less thing I need to do
