@Jenkins - we use those. They're a bit bulkier than Garmin's own but longer-lasting from experience, although without as good a battery life.

Yes - strap & transmitter. You'll need to pair it with a recording device (Garmin/Wahoo,etc) to collect the data but isn't this the same way that all of them work?

I had one and it was never much good. The monitor would go up to 150 ISH BPM then start going down and the connection was a bit dodgy as it would drop out regularly

I caved in and ordered one of the Selle Italia SLR's from Banana. I have one already on the best bike (although a much older model with cut out). I've ordered "all black" as the 'white' saddle on the CX bike is starting to look tatty, and the cover is wearing on the nose and 'thigh' area. Who fits white saddles to CX bikes (original Colnago branded saddle) ? I generally have a rule of black saddles and bar grips.
