Don't know if this qualifies in the bargain section or not but, Stainless Automotive Fasteners stock every conceivable size of machined metric stainless steel screw you could want for a bicycle, excepting the really specialised shoulder-type bolts used as brake pivots, and at a very reasonable price.
Admittedly, their website could do with a bit of a sort as the titles down the left-hand side of the page are very hard to read as they run into one another, but as well as bog ordinary hex socket head cap screws (allen bolts to you) they do reduced-size ones which has the head from the bolt the size down on the next size up (M5 head on an M6 bolt) which are great for fitting into the pocketed holes one finds in handlebar-to-stem clamps etc. They also sell screws with half-height heads so they don't stick out as far, and most important for me washers which are the same diameter as the bolt heads, again essential for fitting into pocketed holes.
I realise they are not anodised (there are places that will do this for you) or polished (get the right abrasive products, job done) and they aren't as light as titanium, but once I'd added up the Ti weight-saving and realised it was in the order of 40 grammes (around the weight of a car key and fob, possibly less) and the horrendous cost of same I went down this route. Give 'em a try.

I ride a bianchi .....these seemed cheap so will reserve quality judgement until arrived but I love the design and for the money worth a punt i thought as they come in larger sizes as well.

Thanks - how do these do for sizing at all? I'm a 31" waist, but usually fit a medium.

Edit - I've gone with Small. Waist was a Small, Chest an XS and height a Medium. But I've got stumpy legs!

Hmm, I was tempted to get a pair of the roubaix bib shorts but was a bit put off by the fleece lining description. Shorts are for warmish weather, surely - so what use warm lining? Are they really thick or could you get away with them if it's mild (15 degrees c, for example)?

I would say they are comfy for mild and even warm depending on how hard you ride. Ideal for spring and Autumn where you set out with leg warmers on rather than using longs or overs.

Yes, I often find the bike sizing and clothes sizes do not really cater for stumpy folk. I bought a pair of leg warmers in Evans' a while back, I would never had got the size right by mail order. Even the XL are too tight around my thighs, however they cater for Tibia's for the heights of ColinJ!

mine turned up today. i wont be using them for a while if the weather stays like this. paraded around the house in them today for about 15 minutes and they were exceptionally warm.
