Well I've gone for the dual 0.5W rear light, £2.50 1/2 price plus £2.50 postage (free if you order other stuff, over £20), worth a try at that price. Similar to the smart lunar R2, but not sure how it will compare. I'll report back once I receive it.

Received today, amazingly bright! Haven't got a smart R2 to compare to, but you really wouldn't want it any brighter than this. Not sure how good the waterproof seal will be though, may be worth a smear of Vaseline. Thanks to Jon2.

The dual led Pharrt light is an RSP astrum. On the astrum one lens is diffused, one spot, and the mount on the Pharrt looks different, probably more universal.

Just ordered a stack of the front silver 3w lamps for the family at these prices and 2 of the dual rears and 2 of the cat eye copies.

The Phaart rear lights arrived today, a day after the Smart R2...I shall compare as soon as I can

The R2 is brighter than the Phaarts. But not as much brighter that it'll make any significant difference - you'll still be seen from a considerable distance - and given the price difference could buy half a dozen Phaarts for the price of the R2!

just taken delivery of this http://www.wiggle.co.uk/zipvit-sport-sampler-box/ off wiggle only £1.75 with british cycling discount only thing missing is the electrolate drink but for the price its still worth it^_^ just ordering another box only problem ive got now is with all the free bottles(inlcluding my 3 high 5 which turned up2day)is where to keep them:laugh:
Thanks okeydokey79! I've just ordered four via my British Cycling membership, mainly for the bottles (which IMHO are considerably better than the High5 bottles you get free with their sampler). Via the Quidco browser toolbar, I may also get 3% cash back as well. ^_^

I wonder if I can sell the four unused High5 bottles I have on eBay...

No-one told you that most zipvit stuff is revolting then? I have an almost full tub of electrolyte powder (got it for free) that is just so foul tasting it actually made me feel ill on the few occasions I used it. The gels aren't much better (and so gloopy you can't just knock them back quickly like most other gels). And I'm not actually that fussy when it comes to gels and energy drinks - I find every other brand (and my own made stuff) fine.

In an effort to save money I have been mixing my own basic drink. 250ml cheapo OJ from a carton, topped up with 500ml water and a biggish pinch of salt. Seems to be doing the trick, for me
