Planet X have a Carbon Ultegra road bike for £999 and several other specials.
Looking at the spec seems to be overpriced for what it is TBH. Cheap wheels, chainset & brakes and 35mm tyres - WTF?
Misleading title IMO. It's got old Ultegra shifters, mechs, cassette & chain which Planet X probably managed to source for under £200. They won't have got those frames for any more than £200.
I'd say they are making at least £300 profit selling it at that price. This is much better value

They say "No one else can offer this." Perhaps not but no one else sells a frigging road bike with 35mm tyres on it!

Jeez - my hybrid came with 37 and they were massive - but ideal for a hybrid - not a road bike.
The other thing is - it's Planet X. They have very mixed reviews - been alright with me but I have only been buying cheap lights off em. Not entirely sure I would trust them with £1000. ** This may be unfair but only based on other Internet reports of their CS.
Unlike the "big" brands of Spesh, Scott, Cannondale, Trek et al - you are going to lose £200 in resale value as soon as it is bought.
And that £200 could have bought you a decent set of wheels & chainring.
Bottom line - not as good as it appears...
