They are my go to place for cycling spares. Never had a problem with them and very competitive on price which let's be honest is 99% of a purchase decision.

Agreed - Merlin & Sigma tend to be my go to stores, with the destruction of Wiggle/CRC & Evans - although the latter was more rare, though they used to have some really good clothing offers, AND stocked the rather wonderful Louis Garneau - not anymore of course, just cheap Ashley cr@p

Other notable mentions would be Cyclestore & Tredz.
There used to be SO many options, competition was strong, but many sites and chains have closed, and we were able to shop easily in the EU, it feels to me like I probably have about 25% of the (what I would consider) options I did say 6 years ago.

On the plus side, that also means I spend a LOT less time browsing, and to be honest, buying.

I've just bought an aero shell cover for my helmet from bikeparts, there was a bit of delivery delay which I assumed was because of Christmas. When the item turned up unfortunately it was split but after a couple of emails and proof photos to bikeparts they've shipped a new item, should be turning up today! So overall a fairly positive experience, will probably buy from them again.

Never shopped from Bikeparts, but will check it in future.

Cyclestore can have awesome bargains, especially on Pearl Izumi kit, and iirc some Lazer helmets at huge reductions.

Winstanleys have mostly been good for me too, though never order if you are in a hurry, but prices can be excellent.

Another one I feel I should mention is Freewheel - I have bought some items from them, and service has been good, as were the prices.
Not quite sure how it works, but I believe they give a portion of their revenue back to local bike shops, so when I checked out, I'm fairly sure I was able to nominate my LBS as a recipient - no idea how much they get, or exactly how it works, but thought it was a nice touch.

Delivery not super fast, tending towards glacial. Not always the cheapest though, so you do have to watch out. Free shipping if you spend over £30.

Merlin are great too, but you only get free shipping on orders over £60 nowadays

Just a follow on from this. Got mine.

Used it 3 days and on the 4th evening ( i think) popped it in my pocket while I went into a shop, when I came out was surprised to find the button light illuminated red (it has blue, yellow. red illumination indicating charge levels) and illuminates red when on charge.

The light would not switch on but the button stubbornly remained red, i tried charging it, the top of the light got warm, but no change so declared it knackered.

Emailed Tredz on Tuesday for warranty / RMA asking them how they'd like to collect it but radio silence so far.

Annoyingly, I think, the button remained red, for 3 days, until today when it went out. Now the light appears to work normally again so who knows what Tredz will say. I am not happy keeping it if there is a latent fault, equally if the same fault develops I can evidence that it was present when new and I alerted them to it.

We shall see what they say.

I've used them too, they're are a bit 'stiff' too.

They have quite a strict returns policy too, firm might be a good way of putting it.

I had issue with an item that didn't fit what it said it fitted on the website.
It was an easy mistake to make but my initial returns request was met with "no" - and even if it was a yes you'd have to pay postage and a restocking free.

It took a rather more formal pointed email to get them to accept their obligations and take it back P&P paid and refund in full.
I've ordered from them since and probably will again, but it didn't inspire confidence and when it came to ordering another item that i was a bit iffy on being sure it was the correct item i chose to use the big river because despite being a few pence dearer, you know they'll process a return without issue.

I would have used SJS but the postage for small light items can be bonkers.
