Its a case that most cycling shoes are undersized:wacko: I should be a 10 which is a 44 but have Northwave 45, Specialised 46, Shimano 46 and Spiuk 47.

This is the motortech behind it.

No wonder the motor is 'light'.

Just seen on HUKD, Momentum Voya 2 ebike for £789 with code (various colours on different pages).

Wowsas, that IS a deal for the right circumstances - wonder how well the motor can assist you up a steep hill - ie could it still muster 15mph if you are barely pedalling?
Balfe's are also one of the very best companies to deal with in my experience.
If you bought it on C2W it would likely be around £480!

*I wasn't expecting the 18kg weight though, what with the lighter battery and smaller motor!

I'd have been extremely interested had it been anything other than single speed. Stonkin bargain in the right hands. Just not quite enough range for my rides or future powered rides. Or gears for the bits it therefore couldnt power.......

Must admit when I've seen this model posted in the past, I always thought the Gates model had multiple gears via an internal hub, but it appears it is single speed.

25nM torque is very low, my GT eGrade Bolt is 40nM via the Mahle X35 motor, I've done ~15mph up sustained hills that are under ~5% at ~95Kg (plus ~16.5Kg for ebike including two bidons) but they were max efforts from me at ~165bpm along with turbo from the motor.

The range is pretty low too, making the Voya 3 (but it's only 30nM) or the Raleigh Trace (while should be 40nM like my Bolt) on Tredz far better buys IMO for ~£1k.

But if your budget is under £1k, you live somewhere quite flat and don't want it for long rides, it's a bargain.
