It also gives me an excuse to fettle the road bike as thats gotta be easier to ride than the tourer. dunno .
The carefully composed text by Dellzeqq is worth reading, twice, at least. Good lights help. And warm clothing. And check your tyres for bits of flint n other stuff. Er, that's it.

I am goingto do this as my first FNRttC. I moved to Manchester 13 years ago after living in Redhill and Horley, so it will be nice to ride the roads I started cycling on. Its also my Birthday on the 27th, so we will spend a long weekend in Brighton and visit a few relatives.

think i will stick with tourer . has hub dynamo lights and marathon pluses . and i can put a lightweight warm top in the panier which isn't heavy anyway

It's probably time I tried one of these. Is anyone heading back to central London? And how fast is fast? Thanks.

I'll be heading back into Central London and then East - and I'm not quick - average usually 15mph, but coming back will probably be somewhat slower!

I would be up for this, but unfortunately I've been sent to Coventry for some unknown reason.
I'm equally not in the habit of going places where I'm neither wanted or welcome.

Have a good time all.

Eh? Is this your excuse in case you took the Ally Pally experience to Ditchling?;)
