It'll be great to ride with you again. Must say I'm tempted to have a go at riding to Cardiff myself, it's only 133 miles or so from here....

It would be a piece of cake for you, Martin. I would have gone for my 'hat trick' this year but for ****. One thing for sure - it cannot possibly rain for 24 hours again. (Although, by midnight on 'Ride Friday', any wet will have ceased because Claudine tells it to...)

It's just that little bit too close to LEL though. If I came off or got an injury, I'd be screwed. Maybe next year. And next year I've still got some issues with York to sort out.

I've not had much time lately to pester peeps at this end and get the word about. When's the cut-off for non-CTC members, DZ?

we're still five weeks off, so there's time. And my report of the recce ride will have them signing up in droves.

CTC membership can be had in five minutes via the superduper Fridays front page, so the date is the same for members and non-members - 5th July
