BBC weather just said that temps will go as low as 10degs during friday night, so arm warmers and/or long sleeve jersey may be in order.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
We could spend 15 minutes on a dockside somewhere looking up into a dark sky.

Is it frog mating season this time?

Here for rides.
Triple and dynohub equipped tourer (rack and mudguards I'm afraid)
-or-
Compact and battery lights "fast" bike (mudguards and the engine is lacking in "fast")

Neither have been out to play on a Friday Night before.....

Decisions, decisions.

Would it be frowned upon to vote against the frog path? I'm not at my best on gravel/grit
I don't know the route, but I'd prefer to avoid anything that wasn't at least pretending to be tarmac and I know Kai would too.

What do you think this is? A democracy? We will go where we're jolly well told.

The frog path is a delight. It's not just frogs (at the right time of year, which this probably isn't). It's also nightingales, warblers and rail maintenance operatives. We successfully and easily negotiated it on our light tandem on slicks.

Apart from for some reason thinking they were waterway operatives, I realise everyone else managed it ok but I got very twitchy on slicks!
