Hi - have a frameset (looking to move on for someone in poor health) on which the front dropouts won't accommodate the hub - it's not an issue with width/fork, its the little slots the hub drops into. Is it a case of file a few mm off so they drop in?

Carbon fibre... LMAO!!!
Could you post a photo of the fork resting on the hub axle where its supposed to fit?

Loch side.
A few mm is quite a lot on a drop-out that's only supposed to be 9mm wide. Have you made any actual measurements? What is the axle dia? What is the current drop-out slot width?

Did you have difficulty removing the wheel. There are small tabs on the inside of some forks to prevent a wheel dropping out of the fork in the event of a failure.

On my bikes two I have to slacken off the qr and knock out he wheel out of the drop out.

I had a wheel/frame combination that was stopping the wheel from sliding in. Had to file the fork ends down a smither, but it was only a tiny bit.

'Few' was probably an over exaggeration; I'll get a pic up.

Thanks

So issue is more the shape of the drop out (moreseo one than other) not quite allowing entry from above when upside down. It accommodates is with a little flex of the fork bypassing the narrow top opening but doesn't sit completely level/flush but a little filing could achieve this I think.

Normal I'd say.
In what respect? (Sorry for being a donut). I know sometimes a gentle flex is required (which is then eased when wheel in dropouts) put its not quite sitting completely flush in the hole as it were. Can be tightened but isn't 100% to my mind
