Just make sure you order enough - a slice to go under the beans,

I'll give you that one.

another for a bacon sandwich to finish off the main meal

Bacon is for combining on the fork with egg.

(using the toast to mop up the egg and bean juice as you go)

This goes against the Communist Manifesto.....probably. That's the bread and butter's job.

and another slice or two with marmalade to finsh.

You're not having that one......

You can always leave off the hash browns if you don't think you've got the room. They're best left off anyway.

....but you can have that.

You'll get the hang of it....:okay:

I forgot about white pudding, or hog's pudding as it used to be called down here. My mum used to get it from the local Butcher and said it was the best she'd ever had. According to her, there was always a bit of extra skin on the end which she used to whip off with a kitchen knife, but she favoured it to the black variety as that was always too rich.

Coffee and croissants for me, please.

I don't like regurgitating processed meat all over my handlebars.

I remember that. Luscombe's in Totnes used to do it. It used to be fried in little slices and had a lot of pepper in it.

I first came across white pudding as a child on hols in Ireland ... I loved black pud, and had simply never seen white pud before. Loved it, but prefer black pud really. Miss Goodbody who has retired)was fond of black pudding.

Try Tesco's for the white pudding.

A full English is a good start to the day but the best breakfast is a curry.

Agree. I often used to have leftover curry for breakfast. My colleagues used to think I was disgusting. In fact, I do like "main meals" for breakfast sometimes. My reasoning is, if you like it, why does it matter when you eat it? A Chinese colleague of mine makes the main family meal for breakfast every day.

I get two or three hotel breakfasts a week. Full English is rarely advisable. I used to ask for poached eggs but they were only done properly 1 time in 5 so now I just have toast and coffee - it's rare for that to be good either

When we visit Edinburgh to see daughter at Uni,we have been using Premier Inn's they do a superb continental brekkie, but our favourite and most stayted at is The Braids Hill Hotel,it's all the lot, scrambled egg beans AND HAGGIS i love it followed by the cold foods,it's a great brekkie.

I asked him "what's that thing on the right?"

Turns out it's a Yorkshire pudding with bacon cooked into it.

Now to me that sounds delicious and I've always been kinda flexible on what constitutes a "Full English". But what does the CC massive say?

I'd give it a go, but it should be an optional extra. I'm all for extra bacon but there's a danger of tinkering with a classic until you spoil it completely.
