No, it's just a country road that often has horses on it!

I have just noticed something else about the road. I will use it as a clue later, if needed.

Apart from the walls, one of the other minor clues is the standard one - shadows. They give a very good indication here of the direction that the road is heading in.

"Small road heading East in West Yorkshire towards a mast" is my search term...

I think that the Street View car got there significantly before noon!

PS Wait while I have another think about that... My mind is auto-rotating along with my phone display!! It was either earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon. I will report back shortly...

The clue was that it was near Tod. Is it the road that goes up to Wharley Moor at the other side of Oxenhope? If so I can confirm that it's 'kin steep!!!!!

I've cycled over Cock Hill both ways but never the bit up to Wharley Moor. We did get a 4x4 stuck up there one Winter when it was sheet ice however. Not good. I'll be back later with a picture. Might have to be a screen grab from Google Earth though as currently without access to pc where most of my pics are.

Not great at doing this from my phone but it will have to do. Probably very easy for a lot of you but not so much if you're not local.

It is a tough climb. I have done it a few times over the years, including with @Dadam a couple of years ago when I had to walk a little bit of it.

I encountered sheet ice myself up there one winter. It isn't the kind of winter ride that I would do now - only gritted valley roads or the turbo trainer in icy conditions these days.

Which ride was that Colin? I haven't placed it yet.
It does look familiar but I stopped following this thread as it was very rarely that I'd been to any of the places pictured and I was spending far too much time on the google maps detective puzzle!
