Happy new year - rides on day 1 ?

Not been out on my first ride of the year yet. Heart wants to, but the mind says wait until the temps rise a bit (over 5 degrees). My mind remembers an off (black ice) and a trip to A&E a couple of years ago on Jan 2nd.

Better to safe than sorry ! Its the beginning of many a long ride !

I went out today. As I set off, in bright sunshine, my neighbour said "snow' s forecast today". I hadn't looked at the forecast but sure enough half an hour later it began banging it down and I got back looking like a yeti. Was only out for an hour.

Bike accident in August. Injured ankle ligaments, failed with physio and steroid injections

that sucks speedy healing and to be honest you’re not missing much out there at the moment the weather sucks big time

Yes the sunshine is deceptive. Good you still wrangled a ride !
