...not sure about that surface though...the cycle path along the Caledonian canal was bloody horrendous bad enough . I think paths like these are the domain of 28 marathons rather than 23 duranos, although mine did hold up well tbh.

yes agree there my tourer always has 32 as I am member of the rough-stuff fellowship I like it on the wild side now and then..

Why not come up the ayrshire coast to gourock, take the ferry to dunoon and then onto inverary, oban and ft bill, saves having to go along loch lomond, lovely to look at bit imo not nice to cycle
